Slept in ...

Bit disorganised yesterday and didn't confirm meet time with Simon for run this morning. Also slept in which meant I didn't get out of the house until 6.45am. Was supposed to run a 23-24km medium long run this morning but due to shortage of time (had a meeting at 9am in city) had to cut this back to 18.42km. Decided to run it at marathon pace. Used some of the km marks out on the path to check pace a couple of times 4.13/km at first check and then 8.20 for 2kms a few kms later. All up 18.42km in 1 hour 17 mins (4.10/km pace).

Marathon pace for me is 4.15/km for sub 3hrs so it was good after a hard run on Sunday and interval session yesterday that I was able to run this pace on a perceived effort basis.

May run my 23km run tomorrow but will take it very easy and then recovery run Friday before long run Saturday as need to make this a big week mileage wise.
